Company Profile

City of Mountlake Terrace

Company Overview

Just 14 miles north of downtown Seattle along the I-5 corridor, this wonderful community with big mountain views is known for parks, trails, and first-class schools. Within its four square miles, the City boasts 262 acres of recreational attractions, including parks, play fields, golf courses, year-round swimming, sports pavilion, and public open space. A beach and dock at Lake Ballinger allows fishing, quiet boating, and waterfront play.

A lively Town Center is planned as the Council adopted a Town Center Plan in early 2007. In Mountlake Terrace, you will find theaters, shops, restaurants, offices, clinics, a library, and a variety of housing options. Community Transit and Metro both provide bus service linking the City to most area destinations. With so many local amenities and easy access to those in the surrounding area, Mountlake Terrace continues to increase in value and attraction in the Puget Sound region.

The City will match your contribution at a rate of 80% (or 4.96% of your gross salary) just as if you were enrolled in Social Security. One advantage of this program is that you are able to invest these funds in a variety of investments which offer a higher return that Social Security.
