Company Overview
The Kitsap Public Facilities District (KPFD), a municipal corporation, uses Washington State sales tax rebates to build, and improve sports, recreation, entertainment and conference facilities in Kitsap County. The KPFD also expands local recreational options and stimulates economic development by assisting local organizations host regional sports tournaments and special events at venues developed with KPFD-managed funds.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Kitsap PFD funded projects include the very successful Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside ($7M); the rehabilitation of the Kitsap Sun Pavilion and the Fairgrounds & Events Center ($5.1M); and the North Kitsap Regional Events Center ($1.5M). The economic impact and benefit to residents and the communities of Kitsap County are impressive - more than $50 Million in public and private investment leveraged by the $13 million of KPFD funding.
